Top 5 Songs At The Mo
So this is what I’ve been listening to lately. My favorite songs let me share them with you via my Box.net widget in my sidebar.
1) Battlestar Sonatica from the Season 3 OST. There are a number of tracks on this cd that instantly standout, but this one is oh, so good. Ok, I had to go look up what happened in “Torn” and apparently there is no Leoben appearance but that doesn’t mean I can’t pretend that there was. This is a good song and I expect I’ll be featuring more of the soundtrack in the future. Buy me!
2) Almost Lover from One Cell In The Sea by A Fine Frenzy. I guess I’ve been digging a good piano lately. Soon enough I’ll be listening to Rammstein & Social Distortion again but til then I like this little song. It’s like the female equivalent of James Blunt’s Goodbye My Lover. And the singer is very cute. Buy me!
3) Long Road To Ruin from Echoes Silence Patience & Grace by Foo Fighters. I didn’t think I’d like this cd cause I don’t like when Dave Grohl starts screaming. I was pleasantly surprised by nearly every song on here, but this one is so good. It’s got a good beat and I can dance to it. Buy me!
4) The Score from Day One by Sarah Slean. A recent discovery and Ross thought it was Tori Amos at first but aside from a girl at a piano, they are different as night and day. After hearing this one song, I bought everything I could find that she’s done and I have listened to everything on repeat most of the day today. She’s dark and edgy and her voice is gorgeous and strong. Buy me!
5) Together We Will Live Forever from The Fountain OST. Let’s get it out in the open right now. I love Hugh Jackman Huge Ackman. I love him when he sings and when he dances and when he’s half nekkid playing in the ocean with his kids and when he’s Wolverine and when he’s a magician cept I didn’t see the movie he was in with Halle Berry & John Travolta. I saw The Fountain on the flight back from G3 in London and I kept expecting more from that movie and when it ended I was just all “bzuh?” But for days and days after the movie kinda lingered in my head and I began to really appreciate it. As much as I love Huge, I cannot watch that movie again because it’s just overwhelmingly sad, but I listen to the soundtrack every day and I really want to get an oak tree tattoo but I haven’t because a) I’m scared and b) I don’t even know where to go round here to get a tattoo. Anyway, all the tracks on the cd are fantastic and if you haven’t seen the movie, I think it’s worth watching. If only for Huge. Buy me!

The Fountain made me burst in to nearly uncontrolable tears; now I understand the concept of the oak tree tattoo. I have the soundtrack too; very beautiful.
Haven’t seen The Fountain, but I would like to. As for tattoos, you can do some research online to find an artist that’s popular and has some good reviews in your area. Also, I think I might check out Sarah Slean. I am one of the only people on the planet who doesn’t really like Tori Amos. I like one or two of her songs, but the rest of her stuff doesn’t do a thing for me. Yes, I know I am going to hell. that’s okay. I’ll be in good compay.
